RADD Night at The Bay Raises Over $22,000 in Hurricane Relief Funds
DreamLarge raised tens of thousands of dollars in Hurricane Relief efforts at their RADD Night Market during The Bay Park Grand Opening.
DreamLarge is excited to announce the raising of over $22,000 for Hurricane Ian Relief during the October 20th RADD Night at The Bay, thanks to generous matches from Gulf Coast Community Foundation and anonymous supporters of The Bay, and support from the Rosemary District Association, Calusa Brewing, Art Center Sarasota and vendors who donated a portion of their profits. Funds are being donated to Gulf Coast Community Foundation’s catalytic Hurricane Ian Disaster Relief Fund.
Part of The Bay Park’s Grand Opening, RADD Night included some of Sarasota’s greatest local vendors, artists, musicians, and food trucks, and the live painting of a mural on the walls of the Art Center Sarasota, led by Alissa Silvers.
“We’re grateful to the incredible community who came out to support this important initiative during the 10 Days at The Bay Grand Opening,” says Anand Pallegar, founder of DreamLarge. “Our hearts go out to all of those affected.”
Throughout the event, every donation, 100% of beverage sales, and 10% of every purchase went directly to hurricane relief efforts. Gulf Coast Community Foundation and anonymous supporters of The Bay generously matched all funds raised, dollar-for-dollar. Performances from local artists including Kara Nally Band, Me Umbra, and DJ Ba$$God entertained visitors as they strolled through a variety of artisan shops.
Thank you to our partners, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, anonymous supporters of The Bay, the Rosemary District Association, Calusa Brewing, Art Center Sarasota and all market vendors for generously supporting the event and partnering to host these fundraising efforts for Hurricane Ian victims. The money will go toward relief and recovery efforts already in place.
