About the Final Seal

On November 7, 2022, the City Commission unanimously adopted a new City of Sarasota seal.

The final seal was a collaboration between DreamLarge and City of Sarasota resident Rachel Manzano, a talented contest participant whose design was highly recognized by the City Commission!

Rachel, originally from Northern Ireland, is a City of Sarasota resident with lots of talent in lettering and illustration. After being highlighted by Commission for her great work, she worked closely with DreamLarge to finalize the new city seal.

Rachel is a hand lettering artist and illustrator creating custom designs that spread optimism, spark happiness, and promote positivity.

“Living near the coast throughout my life has had a big influence on my illustrations. I’m inspired by the ocean, botanicals and mood-boosting color palettes.

I love that I get to create joy-filled designs that fill up my creative cup for a living and, better yet, work with amazing people to bring their visions to life.”

Well, Rachel certain helped bring Sarasota’s new seal to life!
