Take the Census. Make Sure #EveryoneCounts.

The Census Counts and So Do You

Taking the Census has the power to shape the future of our community.

The Census is there to ensure that your family and your community is getting the attention it deserves. It helps determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year  - and 10 minutes is all it takes to cement your investment in our community for the next decade

What is the Census Anyways?

For those of you that don't know, the Census counts every person living in the United States and five U.S. territories. Data gathered from the Census helps give an accurate snapshot of everyone in the United States - including population trends and growth projections that help lawmakers, business owners and more make critical decisions that affect the lives of each one of us.

With the Census deadline quickly approaching, we're trying to encourage everyone in our community to make sure they count. Our campaign toolkit includes social media and newsletter graphics, videos and key messaging points -  everything you need to help make sure #everypersoncounts.

We'd like to extend a special thanks to the organizations and individuals that helped us achieve this vision: Luz Corcuera of UnidosNow, Nate Jacobs of West Coast Black Theatre Troupe and Mark Pritchett of Gulf Coast Community Foundation

Want to Shape the Future of Transportation?

It's your last chance to make your opinion heard on MPO's Long Range Transportation Plan.

Over the past few years, the MPO (our region's transportation planning entity) has been working around-the-clock to create a vision for the future of transportation in our community - one that creates significant benefits to the economy, the environment, and ensures our region is a vibrant place to live, work and play.

Now, they're in the final stretch of the process and have opened up a 30-day public comment period - which means it's your last chance to tell them your thoughts. To view the plan and make comments, click on the button below or send an email to mpo@mympo.org.
